If you’d like to volunteer your time, check as many of the following areas in which you have an interest, background or expertise.  This in no way obligates you, but should we need help, we may give you a call.

Help design displays and/or make posters for general meetings, conferences, or ads
Help design displays for libraries, historical societies, etc.

General Support
Help staff a table at a local conference
Help register guests at one of our monthly meetings
Help put out materials at meetings
Answer questions from beginners doing research at the 'help' table at meetings

Newsletter - Mass Pocha (no need to be an expert writer, the editors will create publishable copy.)
Summarize a speaker's talk
Write an article of interest to you
Write a book review/suggest a book
Help with desktop publishing
Help with editing

Take photos at our general meetings or at special events for our archives and Mass Pocha
Take photos at cemeteries for our cemetery project

Post Notices in your Neighborhood
Print out notices for a meeting and post them locally at places you think people will read them

Public Speaking
Join our Speakers Bureau and give introductory talks about genealogy to other organizations that ask us to send a speaker
Help teach at our beginner's workshop
Speak at local conferences on behalf of JGSGB
Share a 'brick wall' or success story at a meeting

Assist our publicity chair by drafting press releases and articles
Assist our webmaster with content and design of our website
Contribute to our Facebook page

Help members with computer research
Enter data into an Excel spreadsheet

Read/translate Hebrew tombstone data for our cemetery project
Help translate small documents at meetings (Please indicate the languages that you could translate.)
